Terms of service
Last updated: 24 September 2026
These Terms of Service apply when you visit www.pickitparties.co.uk, use our website or purchase products from Pickit Parties.
Pickit Parties is operated by Sophie Noble, a sole trader trading as Pickit Parties. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Pickit Parties. References to “you” and “your” mean the person using our website or placing an order.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
About Pickit Parties
Pickit Parties sells party decorations, tableware, balloons, party bags, party-bag fillers and related products.
Our online store is hosted and powered by Shopify. Purchases made through the store are made directly from Pickit Parties and not from Shopify.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.
Product information
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, prices, quantities, measurements and images are accurate.
Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen and device settings. Minor variations may also occur between manufacturing batches.
Styled room-setting, “party world” and lifestyle images may be digitally created or enhanced and are provided for inspiration. Please check the individual product listing for the exact products, quantities, colours and dimensions included in your purchase.
If there is a material error in a product description or price, we will contact you before dispatch. You may confirm the order at the corrected price or cancel it for a full refund.
Product safety
Party products may include small parts, balloons, strings or other items that require adult supervision.
Please read and follow all safety warnings, age recommendations and instructions provided with a product. Children should be appropriately supervised when using party products.
Uninflated or broken balloons can present a choking risk. Keep them away from young children and dispose of broken balloons immediately.
Placing an order
When you submit an order, you are offering to purchase the products in your basket.
You will receive an automatic order acknowledgement. This confirms that we have received the order but does not necessarily mean it has been accepted.
A contract is formed when we send confirmation that the order has been accepted or dispatched.
We may decline or cancel an order where:
-
A product is unavailable.
-
Payment cannot be authorised.
-
There is an obvious pricing or product-information error.
-
We cannot deliver to the address provided.
-
We reasonably suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity.
-
The order breaches a purchase restriction clearly stated on the website.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid.
Please check your products, quantities, personalisation information and delivery address carefully before completing checkout.
Personalised products
You are responsible for checking names, wording and other personalisation information before submitting an order.
We will use the information supplied with the order. We may contact you if something appears unclear, but we are not responsible for mistakes contained in information that you provided.
An item made or genuinely personalised specifically for you may not qualify for change-of-mind cancellation rights. This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly described or not made according to the information supplied.
Party bags and customer selections
Where you select individual products to be placed inside a party bag, we will prepare the bag using the products you selected.
We will not materially substitute an ordered product without contacting you and obtaining your agreement.
Combining standard stocked products in accordance with your selections does not automatically make those products bespoke or personalised.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling.
Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Delivery charges and the complete order total will be displayed before you complete payment.
Payment must be authorised before an order can be processed. Payments are handled securely through Shopify and the payment providers displayed at checkout.
We may offer promotions, discount codes or free-delivery offers. These may be subject to separate conditions displayed with the relevant offer. Unless stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined, transferred or exchanged for cash.
Product availability
All products are subject to availability.
Adding a product to your basket does not reserve it. If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you and provide a refund for the unavailable item.
We will not replace an unavailable item with a materially different product unless you have agreed to the replacement.
Delivery
The destinations, delivery options and charges currently available are displayed at checkout.
We will deliver within the timeframe agreed with you or, where no different timeframe has been agreed, within 30 days of accepting the order.
Delivery dates are estimates unless we have expressly agreed a guaranteed date. Please allow sufficient time when ordering for a particular party or event.
Responsibility for the goods remains with Pickit Parties until they are delivered into your physical possession or the possession of a person you identified to receive them.
Further information is provided in our Shipping Policy:

Cancellations, returns and refunds
Your rights to cancel an online order, return products and obtain a refund are explained in our Returns and Refunds Policy:
https://www.pickitparties.co.uk/policies/refund-policy
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly described or not supplied as agreed.

Shopify
Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform used to offer products and services to you.
Sales made through the store are made directly between you and Pickit Parties. Shopify is not the seller of the products purchased from Pickit Parties.
The collection and use of personal information by Pickit Parties and Shopify is explained in our Privacy Policy:

Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.
Products sold through the website are intended for personal and domestic use. We are not responsible for business losses, including loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity or anticipated savings, arising from a purchase made for personal or domestic purposes.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:
-
Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
-
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
-
Defective products where liability cannot legally be excluded.
-
Breach of your statutory consumer rights.
Events outside our reasonable control
We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
If such an event affects your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and take reasonable steps to reduce the effect of the delay.
If there is a risk of substantial delay, you may contact us to cancel the affected order and receive a refund for products you have paid for but not received. Your statutory cancellation rights will continue to apply.
Privacy
Our collection, use and protection of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy:
https://www.pickitparties.co.uk/policies/privacy-policy
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our website, services, business practices or legal obligations.
The Terms applying to an order will normally be those available when the order was placed. Changes will not retrospectively remove your existing contractual or statutory rights.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue to apply.
No waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the law where you live and may bring proceedings in your local courts where the law permits.
